Vintage OFFICIAL PROGMAN COMETH Concert T-Shirt Sz XL 2003 – COLLECTORS ITEM!!
I have a very limited number of these Collectors Item Official Progman Cometh Concert T-Shirts. As a participating member of the Progman Cometh project I was gifted these by Concert Promoter and Glass drummer, Jerry Cook. They have been in well cared for in my smoke-free home and stored in plastic airtight bins. Anyone who is familiar with the Canterbury sub-genre of Progressive Rock (which includes Progman Cometh performers like ex-Soft Machine bassist Hugh Hopper, ex-Caravan bassist/vocalist Richard Sinclair, Hatfield & The North guitarist Phil Miller, Guitarist/vocalist Kevin Ayers and so many more) is knowledgeable about the legendary Progman Cometh Concerts in Seattle in 2002 & 2003. It was the largest gathering of Canterbury and Progressive Rock musicians to come to the US to play. Many of these Progressive greats like Hugh Hopper, Kevin Ayers and Phil Miller have since passed on, making these T-Shirts even more desirable as a lasting personal memory of one of the greatest Progressive Rock Concerts ever held on these shores. It was also the first performance of the reformed Soft Machine originally dubbed “Software” and later re-named “Soft Machine Legacy”. I must add as one of the performers at both Progmans, this was a once-in-a- lifetime event. For us “younger” Progressive bands I’m sure I’m not the only one who felt that something very special was happening. And that these concerts were milestones in our music careers. We actually got to hang out with, practice with and play with the very heroes that started us down the long Progressive Music path
