Daniel & Mayer – Milanese fashion house. Founded in the late 1960s and known for knitwear and tailoring (they use a lot of natural fibres and hand-finished collar embroidery). A mesh knit in the palest ice blue / pastel cornflower blue. 3/4 long sleeves. Beautiful decorative beaded band at the neck. White floral lace laid over the wide scooped neckline, clear glass bugle beads scattered through the lace ground, ivory teardrop pearls set at intervals along the edge, small satin ribbon rosettes in cornflower, turquoise, aqua and ivory, several with a pearl at the centre, clustered at the front. Matching scalloped white lace trim at both cuffs Good vintage condition – very slight yellowing underneath the arms (see pictures) No size tag – would fit a size S best.
